Brown, Dr Henry Victor (veterinary science)

Died: 7 March 1955, Johannesburg, South Africa .

Henry Victor Brown was the son of Henry James Dyer Brown and his wife Alice Maud, born Langley. He qualified as a veterinarian (BVSc) in the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Pretoria at Onderstepoort in 1931. He was appointed Research Officer at Onderstepoort in the same year, but resigned in 1936 to take up an appointment as Pathologist and Bacteriologist at the Insein Veterinary Laboratory in Burma. After completing his contract he returned to South Africa and worked in private practice in Johannesburg until his death in 1955. He was married in 1944 to Phyllis Welchman, with whom he had a son.
