White, Mr B (bird egg collection)

B. White donated a fine collection of birds' egs to the Albany Museum, Grahamstown, in 1902. He lived on Table Farm, some 10 km north-west of Grahamstown, and was assisted in his collecting activities by his brother, C. White.

The donor was probably Bertram Egerton White, a farmer, born 1867/12/1 on Table Farm, died 1936/10/1 in Cape Town, son of Thomas Charles White (1827-1909) and his wife Mary Ellen, born Bowker (1840-1915), of Table Farm.
