Miss M. Sole succeeded Mr S. Juby* as assistant at the Albany Museum in 1901, under the directorship of Dr S. Schönland*. She collected many specimens for the museum that year and Schönland expressed great satisfaction with her work in his annual report. During 1902 Miss Sole and Miss M.F. Daly* collected many small insects. The next year she presented a collection of molluscs to the museum. She had left her post by 1905.
In his annual report for 1903 Schönland also acknowledged a donation of many molluscs received from Miss D. Sole and Miss G. Sole. These two ladies were presumably family members of Miss M. Sole.
