Simenhoff, Mr Louis (geography)

Died: 19 January 1963, Place not known.

Louis Simenhoff was the son of M.B. Simenhoff, who came from the United States of America. He became a well-known local philatelist who compiled The standard priced catalog of postage and airmail stamps and entires of the Union of South Africa (Pretoria: Philatelic Society, 1930). In 1932 he was one of the first signatories of the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists of Southern Africa.

Simenhoff was the author of Geography of the Barkly West district (Cape Town, 1917, 21p).
