Laske, Dr G (insect collection)

Born: Date not known, Place not known.
Died: 1899, Swakopmund, Namibia.

Dr G. Laske visited the South African Museum in Cape Town during 1899 and donated a collection of insects. A number of these were new to the museum's collections, namely 15 species of Coleoptera (of which 9 were new to science), 7 species of Hymenoptera, and one of Orthoptera. A few days after his visit he drowned at Swakopmund.
