Iversen, Mr Hans (plant collection)

Hans Iversen was a Norwegian blacksmith who collected liverworts (bryophytes) around Knysna in 1883 and sent them to Dr F.C. Kiaer in Norway. The plants were described by William H. Pearson in a paper published in the Kristiania Videnskabs-selskabs forhandlinger, Oslo, in 1887. He named the species Lyosceiphus iversenii after the collector.
